Advantages in the Manufacture of the Arkh.2G
The previous part explained the structural advantages of the Arkh.2G in terms of adhesive application and age deterioration. This part focuses on the manufacturing advantages.
A strategy for improving production efficiency
To realize a stable supply, which we aim to ensure, production efficiency must be further improved. A strategy is in place to improve the production efficiency of the Arkh.2G.
■ Installation of Arkh series crystal resonators that have passed a quality inspection
The Arkh.2G is assembled by mounting finished Arkh series crystal resonators that have passed a quality inspection, eliminating defects attributed to resonators in the assembly process. This helps achieve high manufacturing yields and low-cost production. Improved yields are expected to reduce the required equipment and personnel.

Crystal resonators mounted in the Arkh.2G are manufactured using wafer-level packaging (WLP) technology. Thus, a resonator and neighboring resonators on the same wafer have almost the same characteristics. By managing the positions of resonators used on a wafer, the temperature characteristics of assembled oscillators can be checked through sampling inspection.
This strategy improves productivity and helps reduce investment costs.

■ An increase in oscillator production output
The Arkh.2G production line can maximize the output per unit area.
The assembly line for Arkh series crystal resonators can be streamlined compared to that for conventional products. By arranging an assembly line for crystal oscillators in the freed-up space, output can be increased threefold to fivefold without expanding the plant floor space.

In addition, the number of crystal blanks per wafer can be increased for Arkh series crystal resonators, which are manufactured by WLP technology, by reducing the product size. That is, the smaller the Arkh series crystal resonators, the lower the costs.

In addition, even more crystal blanks can be obtained per wafer by increasing the size of rough crystals and wafers, which is our core technology. These technologies can significantly reduce product costs.
■ Enhanced BCP capabilities
A simplified equipment and assembly process enable assembly at any existing plant.
Arkh series crystal resonators are finished during the assembly process of the Arkh.2G, which is the final product. Hermetically sealed crystal resonators are stored in inventory while maintaining quality, making it possible to assemble oscillators, which are the final products, when necessary.
Just the required quantity can be produced and shipped at the required time, allowing a flexible response to future market changes.

With such strategy and technologies, the Arkh.2G ensures both stable supply and BCP capabilities while achieving high production efficiency and low cost.
Next time, we will feature Arkh series crystal resonators equipped with a thermistor.
