Code of Conduct on Three Types of Trust

    1. 1
      We will have a correct understanding and recognition of management policy, management principle, and management measures of the Company and act with benefit of the Company and the whole of society in mind, without preoccupation to an individual’s benefits and costs.

      We will make consistent and theoretical development from conception to resolution of problems without being constrained by stereotypes or common practices.

      We will have a discussion from time to time with persons concerned, if necessary, to facilitate negotiations of adjustments, and will build good relationships by trying to resolve any problem in good faith.

      We will facilitate the handling of any difficult problem by persistently persuading the other party on the policies with the understanding of the other party’s position.

      We will have at all times a view of environmental compatibility and perform environment-compatible activities as one of our main themes.

In accordance with the ten items of the Code of Conduct on Three Types of Trust, Daishinku undertakes corporate activities that meet the management principle, by complying with relevant laws and regulations and enforcing corporate ethics, and strives to become a company that is trusted by society. Based on this, the Code of Conduct on CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) shall be established as follows.

Ⅰ.Human Rights and Labor

  • Ⅰ―1 Respect for human rights・Prohibition of discrimination
    We shall recognize that human rights are the standard of value established around the world and shall not practice any form of discrimination or human rights violations based on gender, age, occupation, nationality, ethnicity, thought, belief, religion or social status.
  • Ⅰ―2 Prohibit of child labor and forced labor
    We shall not employ children who are under the lowest labor age and not assign such jobs that impair children’s development. Additionally, we shall employ all employees on a voluntary basis, and prohibit forced labor.
  • Ⅰ―3 Prohibit of inhumane treatment
    We shall prohibit harsh and inhumane treatment such as maltreatment and/or harassment, so as to strive to better working environment.
  • Ⅰ―4 Fair employment conditions and working hours
    We shall comply with relevant labor laws and regulations, and shall properly manage such as wages and working hours for employee.
  • Ⅰ―5 Respect the rights to freedom of association
    We shall respect the rights to freedom of association of employees, as means of employer-employee consultation, in order to settle working conditions and/or wage issues, etc.

Ⅱ.Safety and Health

  • Ⅱ―1 Workplace safety and health
    We shall comply with relevant safety and health laws and regulations, and shall take adequate measures, so as to strive to safe and sanitary working environment.
  • Ⅱ―2 Occupational injuries and illnesses
    We shall grasp the situation of occupational injuries and illnesses in the workplace, and shall take adequate measures with adherence to the relevant laws and regulations.
  • Ⅱ―3 Emergency procedures
    We shall prepare the emergency response measures for disasters and accidents in order to protect human lives, and shall make them known and understood to employees.
  • Ⅱ―4 Safety and hygiene in company facilities
    We shall keep safety and hygiene appropriately in all employee living facilities provided by the company (e.g., dormitory, canteen, restroom), and shall apply appropriate safety measures for equipment and instruments used in their company facilities.
  • Ⅱ―5 Be careful about physically demanding work
    We shall define physically demanding work, and to control it appropriately to prevent injury and illness.
  • Ⅱ―6 Healthcare for employees
    We shall monitor employee’s health condition at the level of legal requirement or higher, in the way of prevention of disease and early detection of illness, such as regular medical checkups.

Ⅲ.Environment

  • Ⅲ―1 Consciousness
    We shall comply with relevant laws and regulations and internal rules regarding environmental protection, and shall make our best efforts to maintain and protect the environment by effectively utilizing resources, reducing and recycling waste or otherwise.
  • Ⅲ―2 Environmental management system
    We shall establish and implement an environmental management system in order to pursue environmental activities.

Ⅳ.Fair trade and Ethic

  • Ⅳ―1 Anti-corruption
    We shall maintain a sound and normal relationship with political bodies and government administrations, and shall prohibit bribery and/or illegal political donations.
  • Ⅳ―2 No relationship with antisocial forces
    Bowing to pressure of antisocial forces, such as criminal groups, corporate extortionists or terrorist groups ultimately furthers such activities. We shall recognize their own social responsibility and shall take a resolute position against antisocial forces.
  • Ⅳ―3 Performance of agreements
    Recognizing the importance of agreements, we shall properly perform the agreements in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and internal rules.
  • Ⅳ―4 Prohibit impediment to free competition
    We shall comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as competition law, and shall not engage in any act departing from relevant laws and regulations and fair business practices, by maintaining reasonable relationships with business partner companies or other companies in the same industry or others.
  • Ⅳ―5 Prohibit abuse of a superior position
    We shall comply with relevant laws and regulations and internal rules, and shall not create disadvantage for our suppliers by abuse of a superior position.
  • Ⅳ―6 Prohibit the offering and receiving of inappropriate profit and advantage
    We shall not offer and/or receive inappropriate benefits to/from stakeholders.
  • Ⅳ―7 Prohibition of insider trading
    We shall not engage in any sales and purchase of shares of the Company prior to public announcement with knowledge of material information of the Company, in breach of laws and regulations on trading of financial products and relevant internal rules.
  • Ⅳ―8 Security Export Control
    In order to maintain international peace and security, we shall comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Control Law, and internal rules, and shall strictly control trade as a global company and shall not engage in any improper transaction.
  • Ⅳ―9 Respecting intellectual property rights
    We shall comply with laws and regulations and internal rules regarding intellectual property and shall respect intellectual property rights, such as patent rights, trademark rights and copyrights and take due care not to infringe those rights.
  • Ⅳ―10 Disclosing information
    Recognizing that management transparency is required, we shall properly make statutory disclosure or other disclosure from time to time under laws, such as the Corporation Law and other laws and regulations on trading of financial products, and shall further properly and timely disclose information through general shareholders’ meetings or investor relations activities so as to help shareholders, investors and customers to make reasonable judgment.
  • Ⅳ―11 Responsible Sourcing of Minerals
    We shall avoid the sourcing or use of minerals that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed groups which have caused violation of human rights.
  • Ⅳ―12 Early finding of improper act
    We shall perform activities to prevent improper acts, and to streamline a system to discover and to respond to improper acts at an early stage.

Ⅴ.Quality and Safety

  • Ⅴ―1 Quality management system
    We shall establish and implement a quality management system in order to pursue quality assurance activities.
  • Ⅴ―2 Product safety
    We shall comply with laws and regulations regarding product safety and shall design safe products.

Ⅵ.Information Security

  • Ⅵ―1 Secure computer networks against threats
    We shall take protective action against threats on the computer network, and to prevent damage to their company and others.
  • Ⅵ―2 Appropriate management of important information
    We shall properly manage any trade secrets and corporate secrets in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, and internal rules and shall not disclose or divulge information to any unauthorized person.
  • Ⅵ―3 Handling personal information
    In order not to invade individual privacy, we shall take due care in managing customers’ information or other personal information and shall not use information for any purpose other than for business necessity, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, and internal rules.

Ⅶ.Stable supply

  • Ⅶ―1 Business Continuity Plan(BCP)
    We shall engage in Business Continuity Plan in normal times and make our best efforts to stably supply, in order to continue business and achieve a quick restoration, even if an unexpected circumstance such as a disaster occurs.

Ⅷ.Contribution to Society

  • Ⅷ―1 Contribute to society and community
    We shall cooperate with local community, and shall practice proactive voluntary activities to contribute to the development of global society and local community.
