Report on the presentation of exhibits at CEATEC JAPAN 2014

For five days, from Tuesday, October 7 to Saturday, October 11, 2014, we presented our exhibits on CEATEC JAPAN 2014, held at the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex under the theme
" Slim×Small×Smart Crystal " ～facilitate the future evolution～.

①「World's thinnest* Tuning Fork Crystal Resonator in 1610size ～Lifestyle～」

We exhibited the worldfs thinnest*(0.35mm max.) tuning fork crystal resonator in 1610 size. This product suited for smartphone, tablet, wearable device and smart card.

②「Optical Thin Film ～Lifestyle～」

We exhibited the Dual Pass Filter that has two transmission ranges, on in near-infrared area, other in visible light area. This filter is suited for the day & night surveillance camera. The day & night images were demonstrated to visitors.

③「Fundamental mode oscillation VCXO in the range of 350 to 700MHz ～Infrastructures～」

Using its proprietary quartz-cutting and circuit-design technologies, these products offer the excellent frequency-temperature characteristics of AT-cut resonators, are free from signal quality degradation resulting from frequency multiplication, and provide high-frequency output up to 700 MHz.

④「Crystal Resonator with a dedicated temperature sensor of the smallest* size in the world ～Telecommunications～」

We exhibited the crystal resonator with a dedicated temperature sensor of the smallest* size (1610 size) in the world. This product was secured reliability equal to existing 2520 and 2016 crystal resonators with dedicated temperature sensors by new crystal design and high-precision machining technologies.

⑤ 「Crystal Resonators for Automotive ～Automotive Electronics～」

Items on exhibit were glass-sealed crystal resonators using our proprietary design and packaging technologies to provide excellent thermal cycle resistance. These products meet technical requirements for next-generation automotive electronics.

⑥「0806 size new design crystal device～Advanced Technology～」

We exhibited the 0806 size new type crystal resonator (height : 0.12mm) and crystal oscillator (height : 0.22mm). These products are free from the use of resin adhesive and ceramic package by fusing crystal processing technique and airtight sealing technique suited for crystal devices.

⑦「Sapphire single crystals / ZnO single crystals～New Materials～」

We exhibited the sapphire single crystals and ZnO single crystals as new materials. The Sapphire single crystals are expected to use for LED or power device substrates and cover glass of smartphone. Moreover, the ZnO single crystals are expected to use for GaN substrate, semiconductor devices and optical devices for example LED.
Beside, the ZnO have characters that can be changed amount of luminescence and fluorescence lifetime control by doping, so we entertain it use as a scintillator.
