Report on the presentation of exhibits at CEATEC JAPAN 2011

For five days, from Tuesday, October 4 to Saturday, October 8, 2011, we presented our exhibits on CEATEC JAPAN 2011, held at the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex under the theme “Smart Crystals.”

World smallest 0806-size Crystal Resonator*  “Advanced Technologies”
As examples of future technology, 0806-size and 1008-size crystal resonators were exhibited. Downsizing technology was applied to create a crystal oscillator with a height of only 0.2 mm, whose actual resonating operation was demonstrated at the exhibition. We were given a splendid opportunity to present it as the world smallest “smart crystals” that broadens the range of manufacturing possibilities.

Crystal Devices with Dedicated Temperature Sensor  “Telecommunications”
We presented features of crystal resonators with dedicated temperature sensor, crystal oscillators and TCXO (temperature compensated crystal oscillators), while actually measuring the characteristics of the products on exhibition. At the exhibition Daishinku Corporation made available a rich product lineup so that our customers can select products best suited to their needs.

Crystal Resonator Designed Exclusively for Automotive  “Automotive Electronics”
This is a crystal resonator designed exclusively for automotive electronics to provide extensive support for next-generation automotive electronics. DSX220G will enable to meet the extreme automotive industry requirement for robustness of solder joint with the small form factor of 2.5×2.0mm. It can withstand in the condition of 3,000 temperature cycle in between -40°C and +125°C.

2012-size Tuning Fork Crystal Resonator and World Smallest, 2016-size Glass-sealed Crystal Resonator  “Audio-Visual equipment/Digital Cameras/Amusements”
Presented at the exhibition were 2012-size tuning fork crystal resonators and 2016-size crystal resonators, the world smallest glass-sealed-type resonators. For glass-sealed-type crystal resonators, two problems (downsizing and improvement of equivalent series resistance) were solved to achieve the world smallest size for its class.

Taking advantage of an ultra-high precision frequency-temperature characteristic (±0.28×10−6 max. /−40°C to + 85°C), this product offers a more comfortable communication environment, accelerating realization of the smart city initiative.

The fields of medical treatment as well as physics and chemistry, which require high accuracy measurement, hope for the appearance of high-performance detection elements. Controlling the fluorescence lifetime by doping zinc oxide single crystals, Daishinku Corporation pushes ahead with the development of scintillators with high response speed.
