SMD Crystal Resonator DSX320G for Automotive Electronics |

Daishinku corp. (President Sohei Hasegawa) has introduced a new miniature SMD crystal resonator DSX320G for Automotive electronics. In recent years, many electronic parts have been used for automobiles and such electronic technology has become essential for them. Electronic parts for automobiles are required high reliability. Especially, reliability and durability of the solder connection between printed boards and each electronic part that constitutes circuits are very important contents. Automobiles are driven under different circumstances such as very cold land or very hot land. Therefore the electronic parts mounted on the circuit boards in the automobiles come to be exposed extreme thermal cycle. The stresses produced from the difference of thermal expansion coefficient pressurize the solder connection constantly. As a result, the solder connection would crack and come to be fatigue breaking such as “defective connection” or “detachment of the parts”. A generalized method to solve this problem is to attach a metallic material that has spring property between the solder connection and the electronic parts made from ceramic material to lighten the stresses. But this is very difficult technically for miniature products like 3225size and costs a lot. While on the other hand, we have succeeded in lightening the stresses and enhancing the durability for DSX320G by the following method. (Patented) 1 To relieve the stresses easily, we made the solder parts as 2 terminals structure and placed them on the underside diagonally. 2 We could enhance the buffering effect and strengthen the connection by shaping bump at the terminal area. In addition, this product can share productive equipment for conventional model, DSX321G, so that we can respond market’s needs promptly. In the other characteristics, DSX320G has equivalent high precision and high reliability of DSX321G.
